My days often start the same way; a silent cup of tea in bed, breathwork and a two minute meditation, stretching and some gentle movement.

I love my morning routine as it sets me up for the day and gives me a sense of stillness and calm. As the day goes on and meetings, appointments, classes take over, sometimes it is easy to lose that sense and I have to work on my practices to bring me back to that beautifully still place.

Stillness is so vital.

And I don’t mean physically sitting still, or mentally thinking of nothing.

I mean the ability to have an even mind, adaptable and resilient, to move with the water but not be swept up by the storm.

You can find glimmers of this through physical stillness.

When you’re not distracting your mind with moving or fidgeting, you can tap into the mind’s ability to stay calm.

The act of being still, in body and mind, is one of the most difficult yet important challenges we all face.

Maintaining stillness is so hard in modern life. We have jobs, duties, obligations that often bring stress and send our minds into constant fluctuation.

Sometimes we have to be removed from these environments to find our stillness.

Somewhere we can let go, surrender, and allow ourselves to slip into that peaceful state; quiet, relaxed and serene.

I am so thrilled to be able to hold a series of retreats, Sail into Serenity, designed to help you find your stillness.

The retreat will take place on board Aurous, a magnificent and luxurious Catamaran boat, sailing the waters surrounding Corfu, Greece.

There is nothing quite like sailing on the Ionian sea, through crystal clear water, surrounded by the natural beauty of the ocean and the land.

Having spent a lot of time there over the years, it has become such a special place to me.

I love watching the light come through in the morning, a warm golden glow, which changes to a soft pink and blue hue for sunset. The feeling of being on the ocean, gently flowing with its natural rhythm, is unbeatable. The peacefulness of swimming around the boat, in quiet and secluded bays. Even spotting the occasional dolphin, watching them swim beside the bow as you’re sailing.

It is a place that encourages stillness.

A place that allows you to unwind, connect with nature and with yourself, and fully surrender.

The retreat will be centred around yoga practices, and masterclasses on how we can optimise feelings of wellness in our busy everyday lives.

Together we will cultivate that sense of inner stillness, so you can bring it with you wherever you go.

Embrace the peace within and sail into serenity…
